Sayuti "The Toughest" Melik

    Sayuti Melik known as one of the founding father of proclamacy in Indonesia, which is proclaimed by Ir. Soekarno on August 17, 1945. He was born on November 22, 1908 in Sleman, Yogyakarta, Dutch East Indies and his real name is Mohammad Ibnu Sayuti. He was one of the member of BPUPKI (Badan Persiapan Usaha - Usaha Persiapan Kemerdekaan Indonesia) or Investigating Committee for Preparatory Work for Independence
    He was joined the youth group who had a role to kidnapping of Sukarno and Hatta to Rengasdenglok. The aim was to ensure that Sukarno and Hatta were not persuaded or affected by the Japanese.Then the old group discuss with vice of the youth group in Jakarta, his name is Wikana to make Sukarno and Hatta declare the proclamacy as soon as possible
    At the dawn of the day on August 17, 1945 Sayuti is the one who type the proclamacy text at  Imam Bonjol Street, No. 1, Jakarta Pusat, it's Tadashi Maeda's house one of the Japanese admiral. Sukarno and Hatta fussing about who's going to assign the text after awhile they were decided to assigned the text in the name of Indonesian nation.
